Source. This word has three different meanings to the team at Buy Pittsburgh First. The first revolves around finding the best local industrial resources to meet your company's needs. We know that sourcing locally is not always an easy task in this fast paced society, but through this publication and website our mission is to make buying local a viable option for all businesses. The second meaning Source has for us is found in the information we are providing in the pages of this publication. We have expanded our editorial content to give readers an idea of what is happening in our region. Industry is growing in our region and we hope to be a source that you turn to for information and to submit information on industry and manufacturing related topics. This is a new beginning for us but one that we hope will prove helpful to you. The third meaning of Source is found in the affect that buying local has on the economy of our region. For every $100 spent with a company headquartered in Pennsylvania $68 of that money is recycled back to the community through expenditures, payroll taxes and more. As opposed to $48 that is given back when buying from a company outside of Pennsylvania. That extra $25 has the potential to become a huge source of cash flow to our schools, roads, parks and more. With these three meanings in mind, we felt it only right to rename our publication SOURCE.
